62st Ordinary Elective Meeting of the CCB

From May 15-18, 2023, the 61st Ordinary Elective Meeting of the Capuchin Conference of Brazil (CCB) was held in the city of São Paulo. The Ministers and Custodes assembled at Immaculate Conception Friary, the provincial curia of the São Paulo Province.
In addition to the various circumscriptions of the Conference making their reports, the major superiors reflected on the theme of the protection of minors and the vulnerable. There was a presentation of statistical data from the circumscriptions, and a time for sharing that was centered on uncovering common challenges and perspectives. During the meeting, a new presidential council was elected for the ensuing two-year term. President: Br. Gilberto Bedin (Custody of Western Brazil); Vice President: Br. Arcanjo de Sousa Soares (Province of São Paulo); Secretary: Br. Pedro Cesário Palma (Province of Paraná-Santa Catarina); Treasurer: Br. Nilmar Gatto (Province of Rio Grande do Sul).
