From 10 July to 6 August, 3023 the ongoing formation course of biblical updating in Spanish-Portuguese, was organised by the General Secretariat for Formation of the Capuchin General Curia, in Jerusalem.

The group was made up of 20 participants from Mexico, Spain, Ecuador, Chile, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. This is the first time that two Capuchin Poor Clare Sisters have been able to participate in this important formation course.

JERUSALEM CONVENT: HERE

Target group: This course is intended for Capuchin brothers who, after some 20 years of Franciscan journey, share the feeling of having reached the middle of life. The Holy Land becomes a place of encounter with Jesus and, through him, with oneself. Over the course of a month, with our eyes fixed on Jesus, we invite you to get in touch with your inner self, to continue to walk towards the essential with the desire to understand your own existence more deeply. The course is also open to all the brothers involved in formation.

Objectives

- To make a personal re-reading of our own history from the pages of Scripture.

- To review the collective and personal images of our religious world.

- To share our personal and community project based on the keys of the spirituality of the following of Jesus of Nazareth.

"Ongoing formation is concerned, in a unified way, with the whole person. One of its aspects has to do with spiritual conversion through a constant return to the sources of Christian life and the original spirit of the Order, which must be applied in forms adapted to the times and cultures" ( OFMCap Const. 41,3).
