African Brothers Discuss about Ratio- Addis Ababa (Part-II)

Continental Meeting for the Ratio-Addis Ababa

Group sharing & Reflections

We had three linguistic groups (English, French & Italian) to share their feedbacks presented on the three themes. It was brought out the rich insights and suggestions to add to the annex documents. And particularly the felt need was to know our rich Franciscan Capuchin values and apply them in the formative process while being open to the cultural heritage. Gospel values can purify our motivations and strengthen our fraternal life was the feel of the participants. They were glad to get to know each other and also listen to the feedback from one another.

Br. Endale Haile was kind enough to take notes of the whole event and presented us with a written summary of the main points shared by the group leaders and others. It will be submitted to the expert committee that will do the final drafting of the 3 annex documents.

Day of relaxation

We went on a cultural tour to Addis Abeba animated by Br. Johannes Teklemariam from our Historical Institute. Visit to the Addis Cultural Museum, Research Centre
New Province announcement, Orthodox Catherdral and other sight seeing made the brothers to get to know the richness of the Ethiopian Culture.

-“I go back enriched and strengthened sufficiently to continue my formative animation. The days spend here were of learning, enlightenment and deepening of Franciscan Capuchin fraternal ways,” was the testimony of one of the formators.
